They’ve been together since high school, which is amazing in this day and age, and their children are like little carbon copies of both of them.
Brad is a typical small town guy who lives to hunt and fish and do all sorts of other outdoor activities. BJ is just an absolute sweetheart, an amazing mother and an all around awesome person. She has a huge heart and always has something nice to say about people. The thing I enjoy most about Brad and BJ is that they are so obviously in love with each other and they unknowingly give off a vibe that puts people in a better mood. My husband says that hanging out with them makes a person feel like he’s been fishing all day long and has been catching whoppers non-stop (that’s my hub, always about the fishing analogies).
Brad and BJ’s kids are a laugh riot. I spent half the shoot laughing out loud at things the kids said or did and they were so well-behaved and cooperative that I thought I’d won the lottery!
Brad and BJ’s daughter is all about the tough love with her six year old brother. I was trying to get a shot of them together, but she put up her hand so his face wouldn’t touch hers. Her mom asked her to take her hand away, but I asked her to keep it there because it just captured the truth of sibling relationships at that age. I think this pic is my favorite out of all the pics I took. It reminds me of being little and having a love/hate relationship with my brothers too.
Thanks so much Brad and BJ. I had so much fun shooting your family and I’m so glad you enjoyed your pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them 🙂
