My New Showit Website – Sans Kinks…

Well hello there blog creepers…I apologize for being off the net waves for a week or so. I was creating a new website and, after having a minor mental breakdown because I’d been run off my feet and then experienced a screeching halt, I decided to take a few personal days to regroup.  Now I feel much better and I am totally stoked about my new site. The irony is that this site was free through Showit Sites and it took me only a week (of a few minutes here and there) to get it up and running.  My other site, through Blue Voda, took me months to create (because it was really not user friendly) and it costs me money every month.  Needless to say, I think I love Showit and, just to add to that, I think I love David Jay for creating Showit and deciding to offer freebies.  I can’t wait to be able to afford to upgrade to their PRO edition so I can add more pages and do all sorts of way cool stuff with it! Anywho, I am proud to say that most of the early kinks have been worked out and that I am really proud of the result.  It looks a thousand times better than my old site and it even has a slideshow function to preview my photos.

Please have a look at it and let me know what you think – good or bad.  http://joleflufyphotography.showitsite.com

I have also been working on a few posts and will be throwing them up as the week goes by.  Stay tuned…

No pics today, sorry.  I wish you enough…

  1. Hey Jojo,
I just checked out the new website again, and wow! I was patient this time and actually waited the 5 seconds it takes – being sarcastic about myself here 🙂 – for the slideshow to run and I was so impressed. You should be very, very proud! My favourite thing about your photos is how they capture the “realness” of life, which I think I have said before. You have such a talent for capturing a precise natural, moment in time without the subjects looking posed. It makes you feel like you know the people in the photos even though they are strangers. The emotions really come through the image, whether the laughter shared between bride and groom, the innocent joy of a child, the self-discovery of a woman who may have forgotten about herself for awhile, the bliss of parents watching their newborn baby, or the excited/nervous anticipation of parents-to-be. Keep up the great work! We are so looking forward to our family shoot in September!
    Love ya!
    Tori

  2. Awe, thanks Toria. You’re sweet and you make me feel pumped when you say such nice things about me. Love you too.
