Three years ago today, at the beautiful Breezes Jibacoa resort in Cuba, I agreed to spend the rest of my life with Gregory John LeFlufy. At least, I think that’s what I agreed to do. After all, the entire ceremony was in Spanish and neither of us speak very much of that language so we both said Si when it was required and then kissed when encouraged! We have a marriage certificate to prove it, too, but it is also in Spanish so it could be a glorified hotel receipt for all we know. The point is that we closed our eyes and jumped headlong into one of the most difficult and most challenging commitments two people can ever make – marriage.
So much has happened since that day and we have learned so much about each other and about ourselves in the past three years.
I am very excited to see what the next three years will teach us…besides how to change diapers and survive on little to no sleep!
Aniversario Feliz Gregory!
Here are a few pics from our hike to the Hoodoos a few days ago. Probably not the best place for a pregnant woman to hike, but it was worth it!
Last year we decided to hike up the canyon in the picture below and we realized it was a dead end and ended up having to rock climb to get out again. Even Juno had to scale a small cliff or two and I was freakin’ out, but we think he may have been born part Big Horn Sheep because he practically danced down those cliff faces. This time, I just took a picture of it!
